The Indiana AIDS Fund, Inc. announces the return of the annual Indiana AIDS Walk on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The event will be held once more at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. The event, with a rich history of fundraising, successfully raised $187,000 last year to aid those affected by HIV in Indiana.
For over three decades, the Indiana AIDS Walk has been a cornerstone in the community, offering vital financial support throughout the state. With a fundraising target of $200,000 this year, the event aims to continue its mission of assisting Hoosiers affected by HIV. The funds raised will be allocated towards:
- Medication costs
- Housing Assistance
- Food and Nutrition
- Transportation to and from doctor's appointments
- Other essential services
The Indiana AIDS Walk not only offers financial aid but also unites diverse individuals for a common purpose: to raise awareness and support for those affected by HIV in Indiana. Participation in the Walk, through donations or volunteering, ensures that individuals with HIV receive necessary medical care, housing, mental health services, and other vital support.
